Delete your account
Two ways to do it. The first is immediate.
From inside the app
Settings → Account → Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. It takes effect straight away.
By email, if you cannot get into the app
Write to support@debeers-labs.xyz with the subject “TrailGuard account deletion request”, from the email address on the account. We will confirm it is yours, delete it, and write back to tell you it is done — within 30 days, and usually far sooner.
What gets deleted
Your profile, your walks and their GPS tracks, your pets and their photos, your posts, comments and reactions, your messages and your encryption keys, your friendships, household membership and device tokens. It happens as a single operation that either completes or does nothing — there is no half-deleted state.
If you manage a supervised child account and no other adult in the household does, that account is deleted with yours rather than being left with nobody able to reach it.
What stays, and why
- Hazard reports you made stay visible to other walkers, with your identity removed and any photo you attached deleted. A hazard is a warning about a place; removing it would take that warning away from people who rely on it.
- Paths already built into the shared route map remain. The tracks tied to you are deleted, but the map built from them keeps the geometry, with nothing linking it to you.
- Messages you sent to other people stay in their conversations, encrypted — the same way an email you sent stays in the recipient's inbox.
There is no undo. Deleting your account destroys your encryption keys, which means any messages still held for you become permanently unreadable — by you, by us, by anyone.
